The Dixie Sternwheeler - An Old-School Cruise on Webster Lake
Cruising Lake Webster in Kosciusko County since 1929, this 76-foot sternwheel paddleboat is Indiana’s oldest. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, take a narrated cruise on this spectacular ship, complete with music, snacks, and refreshments. It’s a fantastic way to see what lake life is all about in Indiana’s Cool North.
The Dixie is also listed on the National Registry of Historic Places (who knew that place didn’t have to be on land?). A cruise along the shoreline of the lake reveals islands home to a former Indiana governor, a site rumored to be a hideout for the Dillinger Gang, the Webster Lake Dam, and much more.
