Marshall County Blazin’ BBQ & Bluegrass

September 15 - September 16, 2017

The Marshall County Blazin’ BBQ & Bluegrass is a professional cooking competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society that brings competitive BBQ teams in from all over the nation. The aroma from the BBQ can be smelled from miles away. The teams that compete take the competition very seriously. They come with the hope of winning cash prizes using their secret recipes and cooking methods. There is a lot of time and work that the teams put in at these competitions so, you know that the food coming out of the smokers is mouth-watering good. There will be a line-up of activities planned alongside the BBQ competition too for visitors to enjoy as the competition heats up. There will be live entertainment and food vendors, just to name a couple. The park also has a great playground, basketball courts and walking trails for all to enjoy. On Friday evening, the Blazin’ Beer Tasting will take place inside the horse barn, located next to the competition area. There will be live entertainment for you to enjoy as you taste an array of different brews. It is a great time for BBQ, beer and friend. We hope to see you in September having a great time at the Blazin’ BBQ and Bluegrass event!
