Hop aboard the South Shore train and learn about the people, places, and history passing by outside your window. Onboard educational programs are presented by Midwest Rail Rangers Interpretive Guides on select days year-round. The narration is free to all ticket-holding passengers. These official Indiana Dunes National and State Park programs are presented in one car of the train with seating on a first-come/first-serve basis. Check their website for dates.
Upcoming program dates are listed a few months in advance at www.railrangers.org. Narration is provided in only one car of the train (look for yellow signs while walking through the train); there is no extra cost to participate beyond your South Shore Line ticket. Seating is on a first come first serve basis; reservation are not accepted.
