Shelf Ice Brewfest

It’s back! The amazing winter beer fest held outside in the Uptown Arts District in downtown Michigan City. The Shelf Ice Brewfest is an outdoor winter beer festival hosted by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association. The event highlights Michigan City’s 3 local breweries (Shoreline Brewery, Burn ‘Em Brewing, and Zorn Brew Works) and brings together dozens of other regional breweries for a exhilarating experience. The event also features a warming/music tent which features local bands, local food vendors, and a various games to play. This event is a major fundraiser for the Michigan City Mainstreet Association which is a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing Michigan City’s downtown, so when you buy a ticket, you’re helping us out big time.
This year, because of the rising cost of everything, especially producing beer, ticket prices have been slightly adjusted. General Admission tickets will be a little more this year. The majority of that increase will be passed on to the breweries that work so hard on making the delicious reason for Shelf Ice Brewfest. While VIP remains the same price as previous years, we are not able to provide the traditional winter garment along with those tickets. VIP will still be allowed in one hour early and will receive a full pint glass. General Admission attendees will get a smaller sample cup.
All ticket sales are final. This event is rain, snow, or shine. We recommend skiing or sledding attire. There will be a warming tent with live music, but you will be outside most of the time.
