Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

Join Valpo Parks downtown for the chance to safely view the 2024 Solar Eclipse!  Watch day turn to night as Valparaiso experiences about 95% coverage of the sun during this exciting natural phenomenon.  Purchase lunch from one of the food trucks, learn about the Eclipse, and then see if for yourself!

Valpo Parks is excited to partner with the Valparaiso University Society of Physics students from the Department of Physics & Astronomy.  Their booth will feature many Solar Eclipse resources, a scale model of the solar system, and other educational materials.

*A LIMITED SUPPLY of ISO-certified Eclipse glasses will be available for purchase for $3 each and MUST be worn when looking at the Eclipse to avoid eye damage. Only ISO-certified glasses from an authorized source should be used to avoid the risk of eye damage.
