There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than with the Lighting of Shipshewana Festival! Taking place in the first week of November each year, this spectacular, one-of-a-kind, one-night-only parade and event brings locals and visitors together to celebrate the community and the Christmas season. Each year, thousands and thousands of guests line the streets of our quaint town to witness the joyous Christmas parade and holiday event

Saturday, November 7

  • NEW – Jingle Junction Kids Adventure – 11:00am to 4:00pm
  • NEW – Barnyard Christmas Comes to Town – 11:00am to 4:00pm
  • NEW – Live Christmas Music on Morton Street
  • Face Painting on Harrison Street has been extended
  • Morton Street Holiday Market returns
  • Parade – 6pm start
    • Begins at Shipshewana Flea Market grounds
    • Ends on St. Rd. 5 in front of Flea Market

Reminder of Road Closures

  • Starting at 4:30pm
    • State Road 5 & Middlebury Street
    • N 735 W to North Village Drive
    • 800 W to Farver St on State Road 5
  • Detours will be posted to guide traffic

Shuttle Service

  • Shuttle’s will run from the Town Park to Morton St. from approximately 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
