Wawasee Fine Arts Festival

The Wawasee Fine Arts Festival returns to the park in Oakwood Resort for the tenth year.  This FREE Festival brings together more than 35 local and regional artists from around Indiana and beyond.  All art has been juried to qualify for inclusion in the festival.  The beautiful outdoor setting provides a family-friendly environment.  Children’s activities and a playground are available.  Food vendors are onsite for snacks and lunch, with outdoor seating available.

Along with the Fine Arts Festival, there will be Plein Air Paint Out Demonstrations all day and at the conclusion of the Festival, there will be special Plein Air Paint Out pictures for sale. Here is more information.

Cost:  Free to attend and watch the artists at work

This year’s Fine Arts Festival is adding a new feature, Plein Air Paint Out, followed four days later by another new program, Introduction to Plein Air Workshop.  The Plein Air painting is the art of painting outdoors, capturing natural light and scenery. Starting at 9:00am, artists will select a location and scene, and paint throughout the day ending at 4:00pm when awards will be presented and artwork will be available for purchase.

Both of these events are free to attend and we will again have a Children’s Activity area where kids can create art.
