Here are 8 spectacular holiday light displays that you won’t want to miss in Indiana’s Cool North, where you can celebrate the season from your car, or by taking a walk through the magic!

Winter WonderLights – Experience the magic of the season at Winter WonderLights in Merrillville—a dazzling, half-mile drive-thru of vibrant lights, festive tunnels, giant characters and synchronized holiday music for an unforgettable winter evening. November 21, – December 25, 2025
Christmas Tyme Lights in Lowell has a spectacular light display along a half mile walking trail at the Harvest Tyme Family Farm, November 28 – December 28, 2025. The display features unique creations and the seasonal characters you’ve come to love. Make your own s’mores at the campfire stops.
Enjoy the magic of the Winter Lights display at Sunset Hill Farm County Park beginning November 29 and ending on January 1, 2026. The drive-thru is free and the lights display and holiday music comes on around 4:30 pm each day and goes until around 10:00 pm.
Michigan City Festival of Lights, by the Michigan City Parks & Recreation Department in Washington Park is free to the public and is open December 6 following the Michigan City Festival of Lights Celebration, until January 3, 2026.

More than a million lights will be wrapped around trees and free-standing displays at the Potawatomi Zoo. The Gift of Lights will run Fridays, Saturdays, 5-9 pm, and Sundays 5-8 pm, November 28-December 28.

Winter Wonderland at the Wellfield Botanic Gardens will be open select nights, November 28 to January 3, 2026. The 1/4 mile promenade is alive with color in the magical gardens. Enjoy the sounds of the season as you walk the promenade.
Christmas in Shipshewana is like visiting a Hallmark movie set. The entire Christmas Season is worth the trip! The season kicks off with a Light Parade on November 8, 2025. View the amazing traditional lights throughout the entire downtown shopping area. You can also see the beautiful lighted tree next to Shipshewana Furniture and the lights all over town at many other shops.
Shipshewana Lights of Joy takes you along almost a mile and a half display of over two million lights, which will certainly bring Christmas Joy to you from Nov 14 – Nov 16 (Fri, Sat, & Sun Only), Nov 21 – Dec 31 (seven days/week). Closed 11/27, & 12/25.
