Pumpkinvine Nature Trail - Immersed in Autumn Colors

Wellfield Botanic Gardens in Fall Glory 2

Whether you like to cycle, walk or run, the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is the place for you this fall.  The trail follows scenic vistas where the Pumpkin Vine Railroad once transported people and goods, locally for over 100 years. But in November of 1980, the railroad ceased its operations.  For the past 20 years segments have been developed and added to the trail following the old railroad, which now connects Goshen, Middlebury and Shipshewana.

Fall will be the perfect time to view the farmland and prairie that surround the trail.
