You don't need to wait for the peak color to enjoy fall's spectacle; the early changing colors mixed with the contrast of the summer green makes for a stunning look. Trail 7 at Indiana Dunes State Park - Hike Through Fall Foliage
Trail 7 at Indiana Dune State Park is a great place for a hike through beautiful fall foliage with stunning up close views of the changing seasons.
While hiking, be sure to look for the Sassafras tree with their cheery yellow leaves. But the most unique thing is their three differently shaped leaves. There are mitten, teardrop, and dinosaur track shapes all on the same tree.
