When LaPorte County’s lakes freeze over, they become ideal destinations for ice fishing enthusiasts. Typically, the ice is deemed safe post-Christmas, making it an opportune moment to explore Stone Lake or Pine Lake.
Spanning 564 acres, Pine Lake presents abundant opportunities for ice anglers. With numerous access points, it offers ample space to drill your fishing holes. Expect an array of catches—from panfish, bass, and pike to the enticing walleye and perch—waiting to be reeled in through the ice.
