'Tis the season when friends and family will be coming to visit for one of the upcoming holidays, or during a school break.  We want to not only show our guests a good time, but also introduce them to the places that make Indiana's Cool North a great place to live!  And we have suggestions to help you make the most of your time.

You can enjoy sledding at Lake County Park’s Oak Ridge Prairie in Griffith and Lemon Lake in Crown Point until March, provided there’s a sufficient snow base. Give a call after 9 am to confirm if the hills are open before planning your visit.

For an exhilarating downhill experience, locals often favor spots like Centennial Park in Munster, Lost Marsh Golf Course in Hammond, and the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point.
