Crown Point, established in 1868, is known for its historic downtown and iconic Lake County Courthouse, also called the “Grand Old Lady.” Built in 1878, the courthouse once served as the “Marriage Mill” for quick weddings, but now houses shops, businesses and the Lake County Historical Society Museum.
