In Lowell, the Pumpkin Glow Trail at Harvest Tyme Family Farm dazzles visitors with thousands of LED lights and jack-o’-lanterns. The Halloween Market in Chesterton adds seasonal charm with pumpkin decorating, a kids’ costume parade, trick-or-treating at vendor booths, and festive crafts. From the Wakarusa Pumpkin Tree to the Hesston Ghost Train and beyond, the region is packed with festive events, giving families plenty of opportunities to enjoy a full season of Halloween fun throughout Indiana’s Cool North.
Midnight Magic at the Pierogi Drop

Glasses raised and confetti flying — the Pierogi Drop in Whiting rings in the New Year with flair. A giant illuminated pierogi plunges 50 feet into a boiling cauldron at midnight. The night buzzes with live music, fireworks, Polish food, and costumed revelers gathering to toast the new year in style.
