Fall is such a great season in northern Indiana! As Halloween gets closer, it seems like there are even more family-friendly events on our calendar. Some are Halloween themed, while others take advantage of the fall season to host events that are both fun and educational. Snowshoeing in Miller Woods
Free snowshoes are available to explore the three-mile-long Miller Woods trail system that winds through beautiful oak savanna and dune habitats. When there is at least a 2 inch snow base, Paul H. Douglas Center in the Indiana Dunes National Park has snowshoes available for free checkout every day.
The Loop Trail is perfect for beginners or families with young children. The trail extensions offers more of a challenge.
