Ice Fishing at Stone and Pine Lakes
LaPorte County lakes, once frozen, are prime spots for ice fishing. The ice is usually safe after Christmas, and that would be the perfect time to visit Stone Lake or Pine Lake.
Pine Lake has 564 acres, and offers ice-anglers a lot of possibilities for drilling your fishing holes, and several access points to get on the lake during the winter. The panfish, bass, and pike, as well as walleye and perch are waiting to be pulled through the ice.
