We have searched through our Top 15 lists and pulled together ten things to do if you want to get out, but are not ready to travel by plane. Most are outdoor, some completely on your own in your car, and others are for smaller groups. We encourage you to follow current guidelines for face masks, hand washing and social distancing.
Great Lakes Grand Prix
August 4-8, 2021
Feel the rumble of 3,000 horsepower engines when some of the fastest and most colorful powerboats roar across Lake Michigan at speeds nearing 200 miles per hour. The LaPorte County Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the 12th Annual Great Lakes Grand Prix off the shores of Washington Park. Join in the celebration with concerts, a boat parade and a huge block and boat party where you will be able to meet the teams and see the boats up close. There’s plenty of food and fun each day.
