Washington Park Zoo- eagle

From African lions to grizzly bears and pythons to alligators, it’s all happening at the Washington Park Zoo, the only zoo on the shores of Lake Michigan. You’ll see more than 90 different animal and plant species on grounds planted with bursts of flowering gardens.

Visit the historic Reptile Castle and the Zoo Tower built by the WPA in the 1930s.   But, best of all, connect with creatures lovingly cared for by the diligent zoo staff.
